Notes, methodology and license

Notes:

  • Japan is not included in the research since its Freedom of speech level (28.86) is not satisfactory, making the only G7 country not present in the article.
  • South America has been excluded by the research because it doesn’t have a single country whose Freedom of speech level is at least satisfactory.
  • It ss good to note that there is a lack of homogeneity when it comes to Covid deaths: each country has its own counting methodology, which makes pure comparison less significant. This is why, as soon as possible, TBGlobalist will introduce some coefficient to correct data in order to make it more homogeneous. With all this said, it doesn’t mean that the current research is misleading, we want just to make notice that there is space to improve data accuracy.

Methodology:
Deaths on over 65 years old, represented in the y axis, is the ratio between Covid deaths and the population of over 65 years old: Covid deaths parameter is extracted by ‘Our World in Data’ dataset on Coronavirus, which is updated daily (Our World in Data has a github repository, which is the one used by TBGlobalist for this research); the second parameter is obtained by aggregating age classes from ’65-69′ till ‘100+’ (original data is extracted from United Nation’s dataset).
